We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP HCM Payroll Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the payroll processes within our SAP HCM system. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and optimizing payroll functionalities to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Configuration and Maintenance:
    • Configure SAP HCM payroll module to meet organizational requirements.
    • Maintain payroll schemas, rules, and customizations.
    • Ensure system compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations.
  2. Payroll Processing:
    • Execute payroll runs and post-payroll activities.
    • Manage payroll calendars, ensuring all payroll cycles are completed on time.
    • Handle payroll-related discrepancies and errors, providing timely resolutions.
  3. Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Provide day-to-day support for payroll-related issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll processing errors and system issues.
    • Liaise with IT and other departments to resolve technical issues.
  4. Testing and Upgrades:
    • Conduct testing for SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
    • Validate payroll processes and data integrity post-upgrade.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for payroll processes and configurations.
    • Generate and analyze payroll reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
    • Develop ad-hoc reports as required by management.
  6. Training and Development:
    • Train end-users and HR staff on payroll processes and SAP functionalities.
    • Develop training materials and user guides.
  7. Compliance and Audits:
    • Ensure payroll practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in internal and external payroll audits.

Qualifications:        

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. SAP HCM certification or relevant SAP payroll certification is preferred.
  3. 6 years of experience in SAP HCM payroll configuration and support.
  4. Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.
  5. Proficiency in SAP payroll schemas, rules, and customizations.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
  2. Knowledge of other SAP HCM modules such as Time Management, Personnel Administration, and Organizational Management.
  3. Understanding of integration between SAP HCM payroll and other modules/systems.
